Summer Work and Travel Program (J1)

College and university students who are enrolled full-time at accredited post-secondary institutions outside the United States have the chance to come to the U.S. through temporary work and travel opportunities. Our Program offers positions in the States to work in seasonal jobs such as lifeguards, amusement park workers, housekeepers, waiters or waitresses, hotel staff, resort area workers, and so on. It is a wonderful opportunity to explore the USA while earning money to support your day-to-day needs and at the same time enjoy fun intercultural activities and make new friends from all over the world.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be sufficiently proficient in English.
  • Applicants must be enrolled full-time in and actively pursuing a Bachelor's, Associate, Diploma, or Master's degree.
  • Applicants must have a minimum G.P.A of 2.0.
  • Participants should be completing a minimum of 15 credits per semester.
  • Eligible applicants must be between 18 and 29 years old.

Seasonal Work Program (H2B)

Customs brokers facilitate the clearance of goods through customs checkpoints, ensuring compliance with import and export regulations. They handle documentation, taxes, duties, and liaise with government agencies on behalf of clients.

Professional Internships (J1)

The J-1 intern classification permits post-secondary students and recent graduates to engage in a structured learning program related to their field of study. After completing the program, participants have 30 days to travel around the U.S. before leaving the country. This visa is available for durations of 6 or 12 months.

 

Benefits:

  • As an exchange visitor, you will receive compensation from your host employer during your intern program. (You must bring enough money to the United States to cover your food, housing, security deposits, and other personal expenses for at least 1 month).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants should be between the ages of 18 and 32.
  • Graduates no more than 12 months prior to their exchange visitor program begin date.
  • Currently be enrolled in and pursuing studies at a degree or certificate-granting post-secondary academic institution.
  • Five years of work experience outside the United States in their occupational field (for Trainee positions only).

Summer Camp Counselor

The Camp Counselor Program invites post-secondary students, youth workers, teachers, and individuals with specialized skills to share their culture and ideas at various camps across the United States. Participants receive a salary and benefits, including meals and accommodation, on par with their American peers at the camps. Program durations vary based on the camp's season, with a maximum length of 3 months. After completing the program, participants have 30 days to travel and explore the U.S. before they must leave the country.

The United States boasts a diverse array of camps, each with its own unique focus, including sports, outdoor adventures, cultural and religious themes, gender-specific programs, arts and crafts, or a mix of these elements. With such a wide range of options, there's definitely a camp that aligns with your skills and interests. The key requirement for participation is a genuine enthusiasm for working with children and a desire to explore the U.S.!

  • Successfully pass an interview with both the Sponsor and the camp employer.

Fees:

  • Registration fee: $2,500 JMD
  • Program fee: $650 USD
  • Deadline: January 1st
